Cheryl is a trained nutrition expert in medical nutrition therapy. She has worked in various sectors of nutrition – private practice, clinical services and research. Cheryl is currently the Senior Diabetes & Metabolic Health Dietitian at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, and has worked previously with various diabetes & endocrine services in NSW.

When it comes to nutrition, Cheryl does not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. She understands first-hand how difficult it can be to manage ones’ medical conditions – this drives her passion to  help her clients reach their health and nutrition goals. She translates the complex science behind nutrition into practical solutions to suit her client’s lifestyle, for general health, disease prevention and management.

Cheryl’s area of specialities are:

Insulin Resistance & Diabetes – Pre-diabetes, Type 1 Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, Gestational Diabetes, Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)

Heart Health – Blood pressure, cholesterol & heart disease

Gastrointestinal health – Dietary Intolerances, IBS, IBD, Coeliac Disease, Diverticulitis, Reflux & Fatty liver disease

Weight Management – Weight loss, Weight gain & Bariatric surgery management

Pregnancy nutrition, Plant-based eating, Muscle building & recovery, and Healthy eating for all ages.

Fun facts about Cheryl:

Cheryl’s Honours research paper was published in Nutrients Journal, looking at the diet quality of competitive adolescent male rugby union players.

Cheryl enjoys traveling, doing outdoors activities, and loves all things food & culture.

Cheryl can speak fluent English & Malay.

LAURA TURNER

Laura is a trained nutrition expert in medical nutrition therapy. She has a strong nutrition background in clinical dietetics and in food service management. Laura has provided dietary services along the North Coast of NSW over the past 5 years.

Laura believes that there is no one size fits all when it comes to food and nutrition and enjoys helping each individual achieve a greater quality of life by making practical recommendations specific to their lifestyle.

Laura’s area of specialities are:

Sports nutrition – Fueling for sports recovery & performance

Diabetes management – Insulin resistance, pre-diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, PCOS

Gastrointestinal health – Dietary allergies & intolerances, IBS & Fatty liver management
